Any tips on how to reduce the earthy taste of beets or the chalky taste of sweet potatoes?
For what it’s worth… we peel. We peel all our root vegetables. I’ve learned to get very Zen at the sight of an 50# beet sack. lol
I find the earthy taste comes mostly from small beets, the tops and bottoms are very difficult to clean so removing the tops and bottoms definitely helps.
We use a small plastic brush and gently scrub the beets. Yes, like Arri suggested we also cut tops and bottoms off. Works well
