Hey there! What are a few of your favorite items to sale during the winter season?
Hello @PPJ , depends, do you have access to a stove or oven in your operation? Let me know and I can shoot you some ideas.
I’m curious too. We are currently adding toast, curry, overnight oats and steel cut oats cooked overnight, energy bites made from our Nut milk and maybe more. We don’t have a stove so have an electric burner, toaster etc.
Hey Ari! We do not have a stove or oven in our shop.
@PPJ Some options that might work are other various hot cereals, I used to frequent a place that used to make oats with fresh almond milk gave it a great flavor, brown rice also works well as a hot cereal, you can make unique toppings like spiced fruits, various compotes to serve on top.
Of course serving warm spiced ciders.
You can make various nut mylks that can be served warm on induction or even if you have an espresso steamer available.
For the toasts, You can make some compotes and serve them on your toasts or incorporate some seasonal root vegetables for savory toasts as well, by either searing the outside using an induction burner or making a light pickle on some and serving them with various spreads.
Soups are great.
But I would love to hear some other operations that had some big sellers during the winter as well.
This is definitely an important topic, Quick questions, are you located in an area that has quite a bit of snow during the winter and do you see a really big drop off of juices during this time or mostly a drop off with just smoothies? Thanks
When I worked at Juice Press we rolled out our soups and they were always a massive hit. They were delicious, 100% organic and because of the amount of stores we had we had no issues with waste and distribution.
Maybe some small batch soups can be done?
We just rolled out a Mexican superfood hot chocolate and it’s really popular… we developed a steel cut oats recipe with the instant pot that is amazing so far that’s it… curious if anyone has rolled out curry and it went well?
